Last Dt. 25/11/2013 Govt. of West Bengal — Office of the Sub-Divisional Officer, Paschim Medinipur, is recruiting 182 women candidates for the post of “Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA)” workers in Midnapore Sadar, Keshpur, Salboni, Garhbeta-I, Garhbeta-II and Garhbeta-III Block. Madhyamik pass female candidates may apply on prescribed application format. Qualification norms and eligibility criteria is given below. Midnapore Sadar Block: 57 Posts (Gen—21; SC—21; ST—15) 2. Keshpur Block: 37 Posts (Gen—18; SC—17; ST—2) 3. Salboni Block: 39 Posts (Gen—24; SC—6; ST—9) 4. Garhbeta-II Block: 44 Posts (Gen—23; SC—10; ST—11) 5. Garhbeta-III Block: 5 posts (Gen—2; SC—1; ST—2) Minimum Educational Qualification: Appeared Madhyamik or its equivalent. N.B: Candidates who are Madhyamick Pass or acquiring Higher Qualification are also eligible. However, in case of candidates possessing higher qualification, only marks obtained in Madhyamick or equivalent examination will be considered. Eligibility Criteria: Only married/ divorced/ widow female candidates are eligible to apply. Candidates must be a resident of the same village for which she will apply. Un-married female candidates are not eligible to apply. Age Limit: Candidates must be not less than 30 years (22 yrs in case of SC/ST candidates) and not more than 40 years as on 01/10/2013. Selection Steps: Candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria will be called for an interview. A separate call letter indicating date, time and venue will be sent to all the eligible candidates. Final recruitment panel will be strictly based on marks obtained by the candidate in the Madhyamik or equivalent examination (90% weight age) and score in the interview (10% weight age). All original certificates will be verified at the time of interview. How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates may apply on prescribed application format.
