Substance over form - Same persons, new name! Boko Haram, - TopicsExpress

Substance over form - Same persons, new name! Boko Haram, Islam, Christianity, Tribal militancy, etc; are not Nigerias problem! The POLITICIANS are!!! Many say we want change. Majority of the APC/PDP members are those who have ruled the country from 1960 till date. They, their descendants, their cronies/allies, friends, partners in crime, have played games with the Country as: military/civilian Presidents, Governors, Ministers, legislators, Commssioners, Local Government Chairmen, etc. Name any descendants of the past leaders that is not living in unequally, unmeritted afluence in Nigeria. Hardly any! The love for money is the driving force of politics in Nigeria! This SICKNESS unfortunately is pervasive; it is in every facet/sector/strata of the society. Politics becomes one of the surest way for the STRONG HOODLUMS/ THUGS to achieve this SINGULAR OBJECTIVE! This Love or rather LUST for money is there: in the churches, mosques, banking system, schools - lecturers, student, non-academic staff, civil service, other corporate entities. It is there! There is an AXIOM in the field of Organizational Behaviour called COALITION IN A TRIAD. This typifies the Nigerian Political experience from independence to date. The axiom explains that In organizations, informal groups/ clicks are formed and people gravitate to those groups which they consider would meet their needs and once those needs are no longer being met, they switch to other groups which they perceive would favour their aims. Therefore, membership of the informal groups/ clicks in an organization are not always permanent. Be it the Old brigade, or the new politicians, it has merely been a case of the same persons with new names!! Currently, in both parties (PDP/APC), as governors terms are expiring, they present their self- anointed candidates/ cronies to continue from where they stopped. The same goes for the CEOs of most of the BIG banks following the Sanusis CBN hammer of maximum 10 year tenor as bank CEOs. The political system is corrupt and the root of it is the VALUE SYSTEM - lust for money, money and more money.... endlessly insatiable! For those who are clamouring for change, have we asked ourselves questions. What has been the driving motive behind some of the SELFISH decisions you have taken in the little corner, where you have been opportuned to be in charge? In recent times, politicians have resorted to whipping religious sentiments. But if we follow this line of thought- religion, can 2 unequally yoked work/walk together? Until politics becomes less financially rewarding in Nigeria, there is hardly any end to this political manipulations. A bientot.
