Such a sad sad day. My heart, thoughts and prayers is with Chris family. Chris H. Orphan age 67 years of Ely, NV, passed away August 14, 2014 in Ely. He was born August 1, 1947 in Ely, NV to Harry and Alice Orphan. Chris was a life time resident of Ely. He was a tank mechanic for the U.S. National Guard. He enjoyed being a diesel mechanic as his occupation. Chris also enjoyed drag racing and building race cars. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Chris liked his cup of coffee and a good visit with friends. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Chris is survived by his two daughters Kelli Bronson of Ely and Jami (Harry) Powell of Elko, NV; six grandchildren Chellsie (Ricky Hancock) Bronson, Nikkey Bronson, Tracey (Clarisa) Bronson, Travis (Jennifer) Bronson, Braxton Powell and Baylee Powell; six great grandchildren Aubrie, Anya, Jaden, Haiden, Brayton and Mikah; brother John (Diana) Orphan of Las Vegas, NV and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, a baby brother, sister Kathlene Carrick and niece Nichole Carrick. Gravesode services are scheduled for Friday, August 22, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the Ely City Cemetery.
