Summer holiday driving tip 3/10: pack properly and avoid overloading your car. It’s a classic car game – find the cars that are overloaded with gear for the holidays as you drive down to your destination. Think twice about what you take along – that big beach umbrella might seem important, but if it sticks out through the car’s passenger area it might be worth renting one locally, rather than spending many uncomfortable – and potentially dangerous - hours in the car. You may want to add a ski or transport box to the roof of your car to better spread the load.
