Summer is in full swing! Protect your feet with these tips & if your feet are hurting, consider physical therapy: -limit walking barefoot to prevent infections & sunburns -wear shoes or flipflops at the pool, to the beach, in locker rooms or hotel rooms to prevent injuries & limit bacterial infections -apply & re-apply sunscreen often, especially after going in the water -drink plenty of water throughout the day to minimize foot swelling from the heat -move your feet often by wiggling your toes & flexing your ankles -make sure to wear the correct footwear for specific summer activities ie. hiking shoes for hiking, sneakers for walking, water shoes for swimming in lakes or other areas with rocks or slippery bottoms
