Summers end. From the garden, we froze 5 quart bags of zucchini and 12 of green peppers. We canned 8 pints of salsa, 17 pints and 3-1/2 quarts of dill pickles, 9 pints and 8 quarts of bread & butter pickles, 12 pints of polish pickles, 34 quarts and 2-1/2 pints tomato juice, 24 quarts green beans and 6 quarts kraut. Not to mention what we ate and shared with friends & family. Still have another picking of green peppers and tomatoes-that might become salsa or show up on someones doorstep!! A big thank you to my DH Kasey Edwards who stuck by me through the entire season and for making me a canning room downstairs two years ago so the kitchen wouldnt get messy. Its so nice just to hose everything down and shut the door!! Thank you to my son for being the run these down stairs and carry all these in for me guy! Love them both!
