Sun Squint Tuesday, 18 March 2014 I John 1:5-9 5 This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say we have fellowship with him, while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. 8 If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Yesterday was such a beautiful day here in Colorado that it was hard to believe! Sunny...72 degrees...a simply beautiful day. I woke up and got ready to get an early start to my day...made a healthy breakfast of eggs and wheat toast...fed the animals....grabbed my list of things do to, places to go and people to see...climbed in my VW...grabbed for my sunglasses...... and they werent there! Darn! So I get out of the car, go back in the house, look in the drawer, look in my man-cave....and guess what...I couldnt find them at all! Bummer! And so I drive off to my day, squinting in the morning sun that seems to reflect the light off the windshield directly into my eyes! Sunlight....such an incredibly wonderful thing, even when it makes me squint! First, it gets rid of the darkness that precedes it in the night. It has the power to make plants grow, balances the chemical structure of our bodies by giving us tons of Vitamin D, cleans the air that we breathe...essentially, we couldnt live without it. In I John 1:5 says: God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. When you start out your day, preparing to walk that path, He is the light that will keep you not only on the path, but on the right path! When ol Scratch tries to creep up on you by bringing the darkness of an unkind word, a driver that cut you off, a boss that just yelled at you, etc. etc. etc.....He is the light that will remove all the darkness! You just gotta know that it is Him doing His work in you! And no squinting! He is the light that removes all darkness and He made you the light of the world, so that your light would shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in Heaven (Matthew 5:16) Be Well, Do Good Work and...Be Blessed Like Crazy Pastor Perry Destination Ministries DestinationOnline.org
