Sunday 2nd Feb 2014 Bright sunshine and a bit of a breeze set the scene for the singles KO semi final and although the weights werent huge, everybody caught and no one had a brolly up! Mike Dossena drew peg 2 on the right side of the Crane (same as last week) and improved on his weight and position with 13lb 12oz for 1st place followed by Denny Hammond up the left side of the Gate who had 11lb10oz for 2nd and Roger Farmer also on the left of the Gate basin had 9lb13oz for 3rd. As to the singles results Mark Charlwood beat Mark Harmer and Michael Tims (j) took out Dave Edgerton, so it is Mark against Michael on the 16th of Feb and I know someone who cant wait! Another surprise at the weekend was a visit by none other than Mr William Beckett. Good to see you Willy, glad to hear you are keeping busy with the model making etc and dont forget to bring in your camera and hopefully I can sort out the problems you are having with it. Looks like there is a lot of rain coming for next weekend but who knows what we will get... see you there
