Sunday 7th September was the Royal Belgian Palomino Studbook National Show. Beau was, as usually, a very well behaved horse! With thanks to Alice and Wendy for showing him. Considering his size he did not once try to pass Wendy in showing but stayed at her shoulder. Because he is so well-behaved in hand this kind of limits his speed and scope when showing, but all in all they did very well. He was rated with a 80% for conformation and gaits, which means that he received a 1st Premie and is life-long approved with the R.B.P. In the ridden classes ... which were a bit of a fiasco (10 minutes is not enough warming up time!) ... he was 2nd and 3rd. Apparently the rules and regulations of competition do not apply to everyone and another stallion and ourselves were disadvantaged. Nevertheless we had an enjoyable day and met some old and new friends.
