Sunday August 11 Scripture Reading: Psalms 90-92 Romans - TopicsExpress

Sunday August 11 Scripture Reading: Psalms 90-92 Romans 11:1-21 ! Praise the Lord! Psalms 119:111, “Your statutes are my heritage for ever; they are the joy of my heart.” The Word is referred to has our heritage. Our heritage is something that is ours because someone else gave it to us. God has given us His Word and no one can ever take it away from us. We need to hold on to the truths of God’s Word and never quit. As we do these things we will have joy just like this verse says. ! In Romans 11, Paul talks about God grafting the Gentiles into His plan. You see in the Old Testament God was working with the Jewish people but it was always His plan to reach out to everyone. Look at Romans 11:1, “I ask then: Did God reject his people? By no means! I am an Israelite myself, a descendant of Abraham, from the tribe of Benjamin.” You see, God did not reject all of the Jews. He just made it so everyone has to be saved by accepting Jesus as their Lord and Savior. If a Jewish person wants to be saved they can be saved the same way a Gentile person can be saved. ! Thank God that He has opened the way of salvation to all who will call on Him. Acts 4:12 says, “Salvation is found in no-one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.” John 14:6 Says, “Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No-one comes to the Father except through me.” Jesus is the only way of salvation and anyone who wants to be saved can call upon His Name and they will be saved. Make sure you have done this God’s way and then rejoice that you are saved! Prayer: Lord, I am so thankful for Your Word and the joy it brings me. Help me to study Your Word diligently and help me to be a doer and not a hearer only. I also thank You for opening the way of salvation to me. I know that Jesus is the only way of salvation. Help me to settle that in my life and help me to share this wonderful truth with others. In Jesus’ Name, Amen. creativeministrieschurch/Devotions.html
