Sunday, November 16: We traveled home from Lubbock today after breakfast with Katie Claire at the Pancake House. We got on the road early because it is snowing in Texas. We witnessed 3 wrecks, two of which were roll over accidents. We were blessed to get home safely and it is snowing like crazy here at the house. Pierce can hardly get a grip on himself, hoping that school is cancelled or at least delayed so he and his buddy can go duck hunting. When we got home, Dane immediately started roping in the living room on his little horse and calf that a sweet man, John, from Michigan made Dane from wood and painted it to look just like his horse, Rudy. The man shipped the whole thing to Dane as a present and he just loves it. Every kid that comes over gets on it. He moved the tying dummy into the living room so he could get the full effect. He will sit and rope on that thing all day. It is awesome to watch him – so intent on the swing. He wants so much to be back to rodeo, we know he will in time. So I am compelled to pray for his ability to rodeo again, as I am convinced that God has a plan for Dane doing just that. I believe he will be a champion once again, as he has the heart of a champion. He is relentless. I never knew how much that personality trait would serve him as I see it now. “determined in purpose and relentless in following through….” Jerimiah 32:19 This verse is speaking about God’s characteristics, but we should seek to be like Him. Pray with me as I pray for Dane’s complete and ongoing restoration. I am boldly asking the Lord to make him better than he was before the accident. Glory to God……Sunday’s coming……….
