Sunday Worship Service Sermon: 26th January 2014! Prepared by Pastor Charles Chanda; Pretoria, South Africa. THE BLEEDING PATH THAT TAKES ONE TO THE LORD OUR PROVIDER! Genesis 22:13-14 13 And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son. 14 And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovahjireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen. This is a sermon that everyone on earth needs regardless of our spiritual inclination and doctrines that we believe. Whether you go to church is immaterial because we all have needs in life. To put it in simple terms whether you are dead or alive this is one message you cannot just glance at and ignore. Jehovah Jireh, the Lord our provider can only be found in a place that takes one a bleeding journey. It is more than just closing our eyes and claiming it by faith my friend. Look at your life and mine and you will see the angry countenance of needs. You have rent, school fees, transport, feeding and other material needs which we cannot run away from and on the other hand we have great promises from God and yet the needs remain stubborn. Follow me as we follow our great father of faith, Abraham to a place we can find Jehovah Jireh, the Lord our provider. THE BLEEDING JOURNEY BEGINS WHEN WE HEAR A VOICE FROM GOD! Genesis 22:1 And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am. Abraham, righteous Abraham was given a word by the Lord. When last did God speak to you and what did he tell you. Some of you are rushing to churches where you want to hear prophecy and all the prophecies are earthly centered. You never hear about holiness and heaven. May God help this generation in Jesus Name. God is a serious God and will not waste time discussing with your about your colour blocking clothes! Now we are eating grass in the church and I wonder what animals will eat. We are all at different levels though we all have needs. The voice you hear is determined at what level you are. How far have you travelled and in which direction you are travelling. 1. The sinner hears the call to salvation! Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. I see some preachers inviting every one to come and receive miracles of healing, deliverance, provisions and name without first informing the sinner that salvation comes. I receive so many prayer request but I always make a follow up so that I will pray for the right thing. A lady that is single requested for prayers that she wants a baby. How foolish would I be to start proclaiming that God will do it when the need is for the lady to abandon fornication first. If you have never given your life to Christ, stop bothering God for one thing or the other, seek his salvation first. Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Isaiah 59:1-2 Behold, the LORDs hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: 2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear 2. The backslider hears the voice of restoration! Luke 15:16-18 And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him. 17 And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my fathers have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! 18 I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee, Backslider, you will die in want, arise and go back to your father. He is waiting for you. 3. The occultist and the traditionalist hears voice to abandon their idols! Ezekiel 14:6 Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Repent, and turn yourselves from your idols; and turn away your faces from all your abominations. 4. The worshippers hear the voice to consider their ways! Haggai 1:2-9 King James Version (KJV) 2 Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, This people say, The time is not come, the time that the LORDs house should be built. 3 Then came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet, saying, 4 Is it time for you, O ye, to dwell in your cieled houses, and this house lie waste? 5 Now therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways. 6 Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes. 7 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways. 8 Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, saith theLORD. 9 Ye looked for much, and, lo it came to little; and when ye brought it home, I did blow upon it. Why? saith the LORD of hosts. Because of mine house that is waste, and ye run every man unto his own house. 5. THE PAINFUL REQUEST FROM THE LORD! Genesis 22:2-3 2 And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of. 3 And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him. He was to go and offer his only son. I am going to pause here and say something you have never heard! Was not Ishmael Abraham’s son? Why did God at this time speak as if Abraham never had another child? Learn that you have children with you only wedded wife/husband. Children outside wedlock will be a source of grief and at times may hinder you from receiving provisions from the Lord. Do you see that it is not easy for one to pray for the provisions of such children. It will take the mercy of God and not our faith and current standing with him. Abraham was to offer Isaac. He could not tell the mother of the child because she was going to start crying, I am sure you know how women are. She would have reminded Abraham that you know how long I waited to have this child and now I am even much older to have another child and Ishmael is gone. The whole Bible would have ended at Genesis 22:1. Thank God for husbands like Abraham who can hear the voice of God. I am not giving men a license to do all sorts of things and claim that it is God who told them. TO BE CONTINUED
