Sundri Uttamchandani, very famous Sindhi writer, my mother left us last year on 8th July 13. She wrote wonderful stories and always encouraged women to face all the situations bravely and never give up. Bhoori is one of such touching stories where a young beautiful lady - Bhoori started selling papads after partition/migration to be self dependent. She was not ashamed that her husband was not able to support family. She stood up bravely and started working by traveling from Kalyan to city of Mumbai and selling home made papads, khetcha, Kachriyun etc. She epitomized the value of dignity of labour in most adverse circumstances.
