Sunway Education Group Haze Advisory #6 (28th June 2013) Communique to all Staff & Students The overall API (Air Pollutant Index) for the whole country continues to improve while the state of Selangor has API readings of less than 100 for the last 24 hours. The API readings for Petaling Jaya and Shah Alam, as at 9 am today, are at 49 and 44 respectively, achieving “good” air quality level. As such, normal activities can be resumed until such time if the API reading goes above 100. Please note that the health impact of haze is dependent on one’s health status, the API (Air Pollutant Index) level, and the length and intensity of outdoor activity. Reducing outdoor activities and physical exertion can help limit the ill effect from haze exposure. Persons who are not feeling well, especially those with chronic heart or lung conditions should seek medical attention and advice. KL Tan Director of Operations Sunway Education Group 28h June 2013
