Super Skies Picture this! Im outside, just finished a lovely birthday dinner with family. After they left I grabbed my gear to take a photo of Fi and I with the sunsetting behind us. We wanted to send it to our aunt whos living in Calgary, and is being surrounded by snow right now. I started to set up my tripod and light, and sent Fi into the house to get my wireless trigger. Suddenly, out of nowhere I heard the swooshing and flapping sounds of a birds wings! Trust me, Ill never forget that bloody sound EVER! A goddam bird was grabbing at my head, trying to make off with me! Its talons drove into the top of my scalp, and tried to carry me off! Jesus! I threw my hands into the air swatting like a mad woman, screamed like a little school girl, and yelled What the hell? I was frantically looking into the air, and finally spotted it flying down the righthand side of our lawn into the sunset. It was looking slightly dejected I believe, and I didnt see that little flying creature for the rest of the night! Ill be watching though! I am still in shock, Ive had birds shit on me, crash into my window, escape their budgie cage and fly away never to be seen or heard from again, but this? Attack? No, cant be! Umm..yup, it happened. It was an interesting end to a great day, and the skies didnt disappoint.
