Super happy about this photo! I have tried for over a year now to get a decent photo of this species and been unsuccessful on numerous occasions. The Orange-breasted Bushshrike has a very distinct call which makes it easy to locate but it usually stays in the dense canopy and disappears the moment you try to get a photo! This individual was singing in the trees around my chalet and I spotted it several times but true to past experience I could not seem to get even a half decent photo but perseverance paid off and on the last day of my stay I spotted him in the trees about 50m away and to my surprise I got within 10m of him to capture this stunning photo before he disappeared! What a rewarding experience :)
