The seminar “What is Green Economy?” will focus on the economical side of the sustainable triangle. The world as a whole rapidly understands that it is impossible to continue with the current pace and pattern of economic development. In order to keep our present standard we have to find an alternative, green and sustainable way of both economic and social development. In the seminar we will try to understand with the help of external experts what is the best tactic for a green transition and what are the main challenges. We will tackle with several development strategies the world is facing, evaluate the results of the 2012 Rio+20 Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro and build upon them. The last part of the seminar will have a mentored process to develop follow-‐up projects by the international participants. The seminar will host 24 young people aged 18 to 30 from nine countries in a nice atmosphere of the small Slovenian coastal town Izola.
