Support For RCMP Families... Thank you to everyone who has been offering donations and kind words of support for our St. Albert RCMP officers and their families. Please know that your kindness and generosity is being heard and is very well received at the RCMP K Division headquarters. We have been advised that the City of St. Albert council members will be holding a meeting later this afternoon with the RCMP and other community organizations to discuss the many different ways that our community can come together and help officers Bond, Wynn and their respective families as well as any help that we can offer other community members (i.e. staff of the Apex Casino, paramedics and officers who responded to the scene etc...) We do know that the St. Albert RCMP are considering and will probably be setting up a trust fund and once we know of where monetary donations can be made; we will be sure to advise. There is a silent auction in the works, funds will be donated to the applicable trust fund. Once we have been notified with more details; we will be sure to let everyone know of where applicable donations (monetary, donations for the silent auction and other donations) can be made. Many people have also offered to prepare meals, have suggested and offered gift cards for meal prep services, coffee and much more... At this time we dont know if these particular types of donations are needed by any of the affected families. However, we will be sure to advise once we know more information. Thank you everyone for your patience.
