Surprisingly, one of the most of the useful ideas in recent history did not come from the field of science, but was recently implemented by my dear friend and renowned equine photographer, Barbara D. Livingston. This protocol, known simply as UNFRIEND FRIDAY has benefits of: • easy implementation • direct impact on user well-being • immediate results • time efficient (don’t waste time on negative posts) • increased overall satisfaction with social media experience Negativity is contagious and like a pathogen, it can only take one to infect an entire post and ruin your day. A strong host response can eliminate a potential insult before it has a chance to cause irritation at the point of entry and prevent the spread to system wide inflammation. Like a good antimicrobial, the “Unfriend” button can be your “Friend”, and don’t be afraid, in cases of severe infection, to use the “Block” button. Remember, recovery doesnt necessary guarantee long-term immunity, so continued surveillance is critical. Be on the lookout for friend requests from mutated or related viruses and be prepared to use the Not Now button to decline any suspicious requests to prevent reinfection. Happy and successful people surround themselves with other happy and successful people. Eliminate the rest.
