Susan Peters simply refused to believe a $3 rabbit ears antenna - TopicsExpress

Susan Peters simply refused to believe a $3 rabbit ears antenna could receive free over-the-air HDTV, with better picture quality than satellite or cable. Remember, both cable and satellite providers must compress KAKEs digital signal, to fit it into their multi-channel bandwidth. That compression results in the loss of some picture quality. I set up a simple demonstration in the KAKE Studios, and asked Sue to record it with my smartphone. I use an antenna at home, along with a provider. In case of a service interruption, during severe weather for example, my family can still watch live weather coverage on KAKE. A great resource to discover what you may be able to receive over-the-air for free, at your address, check out: tvfool
