Susan Sollins, the co-founder of Independent Curators International (ICI) and founder and executive director of Art21 Art in the Twenty-First Century — the non-profit organization that produces an artist documentary series with PBS — passed away suddenly on October 13. Susan was well known in the field of contemporary art for more than 30 years for her innovations in public programming and museum education, and as a curator. We are so honored to have partnered with Nashville Public Television this month to present a special sneak peek screening of season 7 of the Peabody award-winning ART21 series. Join us this evening, 6:00–7:00 p.m., for Episode 4: Fiction. This episode features the artists Katharina Grosse, Joan Jonas, and Omer Fast and investigates how artists disrupt everyday reality in the service of revealing subtler truths. This episode features artists who explore the virtues of ambiguity, mix genres, and merge aesthetic disciplines to discern not simply what stories mean, but how and why they come to have meaning. Episode 4 will air Friday, November 14 at 9 p.m. on WNPT. #ArtoberNashville
