Swampies, Today was the official first day of school, one down, - TopicsExpress

Swampies, Today was the official first day of school, one down, one hundred seventy-nine more to go. It was a good day, I met the teacher I work with US History class just as I did last year’s first day, a few repeating, but they talked about history. The few repeating were glad to hear that when the teacher is in a meeting or has a sub for our joint classroom, that I am the one who comes up and does the class. My returning students had so much to tell me about summer, and guess what guess what all day long. It was good seeing all of them, the changeover summer and the first day excitement I remember when I use to be in school. Though it is true I never left, just changed venue and functions. Seriously though two things in the news have caught my attention, three youths in Oklahoma killing a baseball player from Australia because they were bored, and a Muslim getting a full page editorial in the Chicago Tribune complaining about a Lady GaGa song. Plus, that horrible letter that person wrote to grandparents of a child with autism. Three young African Americans males (since we just can’t say American males) out of complete boredom kill an Oklahoma college baseball player here from Australia. From what I understand they made him dance and humiliated him before gunning him down. At first people thought maybe this wouldn’t get attention like the Zimmerman case (yes they are still talking about that case), but I do believe the very nature of this senseless killing by youth and color shouldn’t matter, killing is killing, will get attention. Now, for a full page editorial by a Muslim complaining about a Lady GaGa song, oh please get over yourself. I have been offended by many songs, never once had an editorial printed much less a full page one about it. To the monster who wrote that horrible letter suggesting euthanizing a special needs child, watch out God has a way of humbling people. I know several with similar feelings in their youth, that now know the blessing of having a child, nephew, niece, or grandchild that is special and amazing. Humbled and forgiven, lesson learned. We have such serious problems in this country, a government who forgot the oath they took to uphold the Constitution. The very one so many gave their lives in defending, Founding Fathers who spent grievous hours debating and conversing over the wording and what type of government we needed. By the way they chose a Republic over a Democracy for a reason, look up the difference since US History and Government have failed so many of our memories. Though democracy has principles in a Republic but the two forms of government are not the same. Taken a little over two hundred years to get it to a democracy and big government instead of a government for the people by the people, we shall either fall or revolt, I fear in our lifetimes. I was thinking about dressing as a clown for Halloween maybe Reagan think I could get away with it, better yet Clinton. Sure I will just as long as I don’t clown around like President Obama I can play anyone of our living past Presidents, the ones alive do have great senses of humor. Maybe we should start deporting clowns; in that case I would really love to be deported to New Zealand. Just a suggestion, but would take any warm climate that speaks English, well even that isn’t important I would learn the language and not expect the country to cater to mine, I would learn their language. Beautiful Full Moon yesterday that was still out this morning, another amazing sunrise, and while it lasted before being engulfed in cloud cover a beautiful sunset. God is Good, He will win, His plans will be fulfilled, and nothing any of us can do to change that fact. Peace and Love Sayin This is How I Sees It…..Gracie
