T A Y U G ! Tayug is a philippine municipality in the province Pangasinan in Region I Ilocos Region which belongs to the Luzon group of islands. The municipality Tayug is seated about 55 km east of province capital Lingayen and about 162 km north of Philippine main capital Manila. Tayug is a 3rd class municipality. Regarding urbanization Tayug is classified as partly urban. Tayug occupies an area of 51.24 km². By the end of 2007 Tayug was the home of 37,954 residents. Thus by average 740.71 people are living on one km². Administratively the Municipality of Tayug is subdivided into 21 barangays. 4 compose the center of the city wheras the other 17 are in the outlying areas. Some of them are even several kilometers away from the center of the Municipality. The most populous are Guzon, Saleng, Zamora, C.
