TAHITI Update from Soeur Chelsea Anne Lim Aniel (with Christofer Aniel, Christen Aniel, Chadfer Aniel) Marching, Opportunities and Tahitian Skies Dearest Family and Friends, What a week! My companion and I are here in the bishops office doing our emails after a long rehearsal for a march well all be doing this Saturday night. For the big 170th anniversary for missionary work in French Polynesia, Tahiti is throwing this huge celebration Friday night and all day Saturday. Luckily, President Sinjoux accepted our plea to attend this once-every_ten-years event. Im stoked! Im so proud of Tahiti. Stop by this weekend if you all can!!! :) Ill be talking to investigators and handing out Books of Mormon! But yeah, WHAT a week! Im so thankful to be in a missionary companionship that works HARD--were making things move here in Papeete, thanks to the guidance and inspiration of the Spirit. Thank you so much for everyones prayers this week; I really dont know how I stayed awake, but it must be you all! My companion is amazing as ever--were seriously the ONLY ward in Tahiti who has an Ivorian (from the Ivory Coast) from France and a Filipino from Florida--just imagine! I love you all so much and pray for your happiness, health, and safety every day. These past few weeks, I had been feeling a little overwhelmed by my responsibilities as a trainer, as an STL, and as a representative of the Lord as a missionary in Papeete. This all brought me back to a talk I glanced at a few weeks ago by Elder Ridd during the Priesthood session of conference in April. He said: More choices mean more opportunities; more opportunities mean more potential to do good. More potential to do good?! Thats ALL Ive ever wanted in life! I stopped looking at the negative and decided to view things as an occasion to show my love for the Lord and make things work. I know that when we put our trust in Him, MIRACLES happen. PUT HIM FIRST IN YOUR LIFE. When we have the courage to follow the Lords promptings in ALL things, we WILL be blessed--EVERY time. So, thats all He asks of us--to follow Him. And boy, oh boy, do we need direction. Stay golden! Love, Soeur Aniel P.S. Here are some pics of a normal sunset in Tahiti (the sky is ALWAYS so beautiful here!), after working a long day with Sr. DAngillo, and a quick shot of all of us after our rehearsal for the 170th anniversary missionary march in the stadium! Hope to send you all some good pictures of that next week!
