TAKING A DIP IN THE KICKAPOO When I was young i used to like to explore the woods and the banks of the Kickapoo Creek. On one of my explorations I was on the bank of the Kickapoo when I ran into a couple of older boys I knew from grade school. They were about 4 or 5 years older than me One was named Jed Pankey and the others last name was Collins I think, not really sure if Jed was Pankeys first name but it was Pankey, it was a long time ago.. I was talking to them when they told me they were going to throw me in the creek. I didnt really believe they would cause I was wearing a pair of dress pants. I was going somewhere when I got back home. Well they grabbed me by the arms abd legs and started counting one, two, three and let me go. Kerplunk I was in the creek. They hadnt been bluffing. Well I walked home and was dried off by the time I got home, and went somewhere in the dress pants. Dont remember where. Another one of the trials and tribulations of growing up.
