TALES FROM THE HOOD- PART 2 (Trust me, I aint making this stuff up) I visited a Checkers restaurant here in Chicago for a good old fashion greasy burger (Im skinny enough to afford such a treat), well, upon me walking in the place I stood at the counter behind a peddler! The peddler had a VCR on the counter trying to sell it to the workers (The cashier, the cook, dishwasher).. A line was forming behind me. (Ok, are you ready for this??) The MANAGER stepped up to the plate and said, How much you want for that VCR?.. (see my subtitle above ^^^), the man was like, Make me an offer... So there we all were (the customers), waiting in line (hungry) for the MANAGER to finalize a deal on an item Pooky probably lifted from MY house earlier. Shortly after, the other workers came to the counter, tossing money down, bidding on this prize possession... the security guard was sitting in a rocking chair sleep!! (Ok, I made that last line up, but did it even matter? Did it??)
