TEXAS STATE GETS HIGH GRADES: When it comes to satisfaction with the overall college experience, first-year students and seniors at Texas State gave the university very high marks. According to the 2014 National Survey of Student Engagement, 92% of first-year students and 90% of seniors at Texas State rated their experience as “excellent” or “good.” The average among the same student groups at seven peer institutions in Texas (including Texas Tech, University of Houston and UTSA) was 85%.
