Wednesday, November 13 2:00-5:00 pm, City Hall, Committee Room 4 On the agenda Local Food Hero The Local Food Hero Award will be presented to Marianne Moroney, a tireless advocate for street food policy reform in Toronto. Marianne is an innovative street food vendor and founder of the Toronto Street Food Vendors Association. Street Food Consultation The City of Toronto Municipal Licensing and Standards Division is undertaking a review of the City’s street food vending by-laws. The goal is to create a harmonized, city-wide street food vending by-law that encourages a vibrant street food experience for the public. Staff from MLS will hold a consultation with the TFPC and solicit input on the policy development. This is an opportunity to share your vision for healthy, diverse street food. Food Strategy Update Barbara Emanuel, from Toronto Public Healths Food Strategy will provide the TFPC with a full update on the team’s work to improve access to healthy food across Toronto.
