THE 2015 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION ET AL. I have reservations about both candidates... Nobody is talking about issues like concrete plans for the national economy, dismal employment rate, appalling basic infrastructure, diversification of the economy from crude oil dependence, falling exchange rate, unfavourable balance of payments & chronic import dependence, near absence of credit to innovators & the real sector, the widening housing crisis, & their concrete plans on addressing security in Nigeria ... We the electorate have allowed the political discussions to have degenerated to basic quarrelsome banters of market women... This is why am so sorry for Nigeria... None of these candidates has told us about these & thier proposed strategy for lasting change... This is not only about corruption but economic planning & management ...we have so many other resources which to exploit and shore up savings & invest in infrastructure like electricity... Solid minerals, gas & agriculture as well as human capital... Some economies are sustained by just remittances from abroad...largely, many people seem to have settled for candidates based on emotions, straws, religious sentiments, regionalism, opportunism, tribalism or mere gambling & overreactions to the opponent... *Sigh*
