>|. THE ADVENTURE.|< Day 86 of 365 Topic: Enter His Rest. Ref. Scripture: Exodus 20:11 There is always a divine strategy for every situation. God is not a robot; He is unchanging in nature yet dynamic in His ways. Discerning the divine strategy for the moment is indispensable to triumph. If you are on your feet when God wants you to be on your knees, you will end up defeated, and if you remain on your knees when God wants you to be on your feet, you will miss out on the waiting victory. There are times when God wants us to be on the go, and there are times when He just wants us to rest in Him. Discerning is key here. Looking at the above Scripture again, something struck me. God laboured for 6 days, and rested on the 7th, then He blessed the 7th day, and the Scripture says, He hallows (respects) it. Question is, why didnt God bless one of the days of His labours? Why did He bless only the day of His Rest? I believe God is showing us that, taking our rest in Him ushers us into a unique season of blessing. Some of us believe that, until we do, God wont do. Well, the Scriptural truth is that, God has already done!!! And aligning yourself with His divine strategy for the moment is what will ensure the release of that done deal. So if God wants you to rest and you are still labouring, youll miss out on that release. What does it mean to take your rest in Him? It means to stop trying to make things happen and wholly trust in His unfailing power. Sometimes, it means to stop trying to make God make something happen. The Psalmist says, He will not withhold any good thing from those that work uprightly (Ps. 84:11). Youve DONE so much and nothing seems to be happening. Why not pause and ask...does God just want me to rest? Thought For The Day: Oftentimes, God cannot do His Best, until we rest. Meditate: Hebrews 4:10
