THE BLESSING OF ELUL: When you give in the Hebraic month of Elul - TopicsExpress

THE BLESSING OF ELUL: When you give in the Hebraic month of Elul there are several key issues for you to pray, then watch and receive. Elul is a month when the King is in the field, and when rewards begin to manifest from how you have positioned yourself in the past season. Additionally, Elul is traditionally a month of self-examination and repentance before the Lord as we press toward the High Holy Days of Yom Truah (the Day of Trumpets/Rosh Hashanah) and Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement). As you commit to seeking the Lord during this time, we are declaring a clarity of vision and hearing, and a heart to embrace what the King is speaking to you. The word Elul forms an interesting acrostic. There is a phrase in the Song of Solomon 6:3: I am my beloveds, and my beloved is mine! In Hebrew, the first letter of each word in that phrase spells out the name of this month: ELUL. God wants to meet with us in a special way and share a time of special intimacy with Him. Elul is a haven in time, like a city of refuge from the ravages of life. Prepare yourself to seek and be found by Him this month! Each month is linked with one of the 12 tribes. This is a month linked with Gad. His name means good fortune. Gad was known as a mighty warrior and leader among the people. This tribe was fierce and warlike; they were mighty men of valor, men trained for battle, who could handle shield and spear, whose faces were like the faces of lions, and were as swift as gazelles on the mountains (1 Chron. 12:8). Whoever would strike out at Gad would be struck down by Gad. We are praying for your good fortune this month, and that you will rise up and be positioned to prevail at the gates through the power of Christ Jesus. ~ Chuck Pierce/GZI
