THE COMPANY OF THE WISE “He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed” Proverbs 13:20 KJV A wise man once said, “Show me your friends and I will show you who you are.” Well, this saying is true and worthy of full acceptance. The kind of friends you keep to a large extent determines the kind of person you turn out to be. Today’s verse of scripture explains this vividly when it says the individual that walks with the wise will be wise. There is a rub-off. For you to succeed academically, you need to adjust companionship. You need to start walking and working with people that know where they are going to, people that have a vision for their lives. The more you hang around and associate yourself with them, the more you become like them. This is what is commonly referred to as the Law of Association. I’m very certain that you have heard before that friendship is not mandatory, but a thing of choice. This is very true! You are not under any obligation to remain a friend to anyone, especially that someone that will not add value to you academically, morally or spiritually. The Bible clearly states that the company of fools will be destroyed! So, you know what to do! DO THIS: By simply changing the company you keep, you can improve your academic performance. Start today
