THE COVER PIC TELLS IT ALL; BALTIMORE ‘LOUD MUSIC’ CASE DISMISSED: After mounting pressure brought on the State’s Attorney’s Office by myself, with assistance from the Afro-American Newspaper with their printed article dated February 26, 2014, below, giving broader attention to this matter, and subsequent mediation conference, the race-based selective prosecution case against the law professor, Byron Franklin, was dismissed in its entirety. We are now reviewing our complaint against the Baltimore City State’s Attorney’s Office in light of the dismissal to determine whether civil remedies still exist under §1983 and the Maryland Tort Claims Act. We believe that they do albeit admittedly our damages have been weakened somewhat by the dismissal. We’ve been fighting this case ever since November, 2013. Interestingly, it was dismissed a day in advance of the trial date and on the same day as the Donald Sterling decision. Interesting week. –The Warrior Lawyer!
