THE DIVINITY OF CHRIST JESUS!:WHY THE DENIAL OF THIS IS A DENIAL OF CHRISTIAN FAITH:Jesus CHRIST is truly God!what is the evidence that Jesus is divine?How did he perceive himself?Did people recognise his divinity?We will answer christians who think otherwise!Christians who deny Jesus as God!christians who say Jesus was created like angels!In our answer we will show that that is blasphemy!HIS ATTRIBUTES:He is omnipotent(Math 28vs18;John17:2)He is Omniscient(Col 2:3)Jesus asserted his omnipresence in Mathew28:2O,Math 18:2O) His immutability is attested in Hebrews 13:8.That he has life in himself means that he is uncreated and that he can give life as a source:(John 5:26)In him was life,and the life was the light...John 11:25Am the ressurrection and the lifeThis means that his life is underived,unborrowed and indeed original!At the sight of Jesus,demons cried out,Let us alone!...I know who you are--the HOly One of GodMark 1:24.He is eternal:Isaiah called Him Everlasting FatherIsaiah9:6.Micah 5:2Whose(Jesus)going forth have been from of old,from everlastingHe was in the begining with God (John 1:2,3)HIS DIVINE POWERS. AND PREROGATIVES:ALL the power attributed to GOD are ascribed to JESUS.He is identified both as creator(John 1:3;Col 1:16)and the Sustainer or Upholder--In him all things consistCol 1:17;Heb 1:3)He is able to raise the dead with his voice(John 5:28,29)and He will Judge the world at the end of time(Math 25:31,32)Who can judge except God!He can forgive sins(Math 9:6;Mark2:5-7)HIS DVINE NAME:His Names reveal his divine nature.Immanuel means GOD with us(Math 1:23)Both believers and demons addressed him as Son of God(Mark1:1;Math 8:29)Michael(0ne like unto God)Prepare the way of the LORDnote:The hebrew word from which the word(LORD)is translated from is Jehovah,or Yahweh---it is also used to refer to God the Father!Herein is applied to Jesus!DIVINITY ACKNOWLEDGED:My LORD and my Godwas Thomass exclaimation!(John 2O:28)Note:Jesus accepted the reference to him as God!His personal testimony:I and my father are one(John 1O:3O)This meant that he was of one substance and that they both possessed the same Attributes.Jesus claimed equality with God.(John 8:58)Before Abraham was,IAMThe name we first hear about it at the burning Bush(Exodus3:14)Baptism:further Evidence:Mathew 28:19.Go ye therefore,and teach all nations,baptising them in the name of the father,the son and of the Holy spiritThe apostles understood this:2 Corrinth 13:14the benediction!!John 14:9:He who has seen me has seen the fatherNote the similarity of Jesus and the Father:Rev1:13-15(Jesus)and Daniel 7:9-1O(THe Father)HE IS WORSHIPED AS GOD:Mathew 28:17And when they saw him,they worshipped him:but some doubtedNote his reaction to them in verse 28.In Hebrews 1vs6, the writer by inspiration Says:All Angels of God worship him.In phil.2:10,11:Paul says:at the name of Jesus every knee should bow...and that every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is LordThe angels can not judge!ONLY God can!A created being can not be worshipped....only the true God.Several times angels refused worship vehemently when human beings attempted to do so:Here are Example:Rev19:1OAnd I fell at his feet to worship him.And he said unto me,see that thou do it not:Iam thy fellowservant,and thy brethren ...Notice this:The angels sent by Jesus simply compare themselves with us(who are lowerthan them)!THEY WORSHIP Jesus their God!Hebrews1:6He can not be compared to them(Hebrews1:4)God the father refers to his son as O GOD:But unto the son he saith,thy throne ,O GOD,is for ever and ever:a scepter of righteousness is the scepter of thy Kingdom. Brothers and sisters JESUS is GOD!!The belief,the tenet that he is just a created being is not only blasphemous but it erodes the very foundation of a christians belief and faith the foundation becomes sandy!!The muslims deny HIM!Other religions dont know him!Its fine!The atheist does not care to know him again I say its fine!!Why?they are yet to know him and God will make them understand if they let him!But when one who calls himself/herself Christian rejects his very being as God,the matter becomes serious.Every spirit that confesseth not that Christ Jesus is come in flesh is not of God..he is antichrist1John 4vs3.In 1John4vs1:He warns us to testor trythe spirit!!Denying Christ as God is destroying the very corner stone of Salvation and Atonement!Rendering Gods gift to the world of none effect!Isaiah 63vs5 underscores how and what atonment means:God himself had to offer himself for us!Note he says:My OWN ARM in verse 5!infact the demands of the law were only going to be met by the law giver himself(one who is above the law as symbolised by the presence of the LORD in the earthly sanctuary which was ABOvE the ark of covenant and his mercy SEAT covering the ark that had the law!The angels or created beings could not have satisfied the demands of the law!Only God(Jesus).The argument of hebrew and greek connotations such as where to apply root words like Logos or Yahweh will not suffice!Most hebrew words have more than one meaning and so broad that the untrained eye twists it to their own peril.The broadness of their implication means that their is room for manipulation and therefore,without scritpure to scripture comparison,the deductios arising from ones point of view can not be used to sustain their (private interpretation which is isolated in the first place)The word god can not be alluded to Christ!He is God!Let us worship our God!!My next exposition is the Personage of The Holy Spirit!Is the Holy Spirit a mere force as some allege?What do we do with scripture that identifies him as the third person in the Godhead?2Peter1:21,John16vs14...ephesians 4vs3O(He can be grieved)What ever it is,let everyone approach spiritual things with prayer and humility!Deu 29vs29 speaks of the things that are beyond us!Speculation,philosophy and intellectual conjencturing is rendered void in the domain of spiritual things!We dont study God like earthly science!!We learn of him through his SELF revelation!
