THE END TIME IS NOW! I do agree with the Catholic Pope in that we are, in fact, living in the end times. That is as far as my agreement with the Pope goes! I was raised Catholic. I NEVER witnessed my parents reading the Bible, AT ALL! They taught us what their parents taught them, Hand Me Downs of religious traditions. Repetitive prayers, religious sacrifices, kneeling before statues and images of heavenly beings etc. etc. Intellectually, I always knew and felt that there was a God, even as a young kid. For some reason, I just knew. But knowing is one thing. Following is a different matter. We followed religious rules and regulations that bounded us to a religious system. There was no security, no freedom, no spiritual quickening. It was all Good Works more then faith. You MUST do this and you MUST do that if you want to be saved! It was what I call spiritual enslavement! It wasnt until I reached my mid twenties that I heard a preacher teaching the Word of God like I had never heard it preached before. It caught my attention. I never gave protestant Christians the time of day as I felt I already had the truth! I must confess, I heard the TRUE Gospel during a time when I was dating a married woman whos husband was in prison. I had already been dating her for over 1 1/2 years...I know, the horror right? But I didnt care or feel the weight of my sin because I was Spiritually Dead at the time! We all know that when you are spiritually dead there is no conviction, no remorse, no care for sin, the spirit felt nothing. How can it? ITS DEAD! The Catholic Church never taught me that I needed to be Born Again! They taught us to be baptized, do good works, go to church, do communion every Sunday after confession, you know, confess our sins to a priest who was, for many of them, practicing sin behind closed doors! Just imagine how many people confessed their sins to a priest who, behind closed doors, was molesting children. I know most Catholics would call this offensive or a cheap shot. ITS THE TRUTH! How can a pedophile have the power to hear sins and say, your sins are forgiven now go pray 7 Our Fathers and 7 Holy Mary Mother of God. Ridiculous!!!!! Monday through Saturday we would live according to this world. Sunday, we would go to church, confess our sins, do communion and then right back to living according to this world. So from that point on, after listening to that Pastor Preach, I began to read and study the Bible for myself. I ended with a million questions! After digging deeper and being led by the TRUE Holy Spirit of God I came to realize how deceived and blinded I was. Either the Catholic Church was contradicting the Word of God or God was contradicting the Catholic Church. God says one thing, the Catholic Church says another. Who was right? So, I did what any reasonable minded person would do, I stopped following the tradition and doctrine of men (Catholic Church) and placed my full faith and trust in my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. His Word is now the FINAL AUTHORITY in matters of Faith and Salvation and not a sinful man, The Pope! I still do get criticism from family members for departing from this man made religious system. Ive heard it all! Their own ignorance to spiritual matters continue to blind them. I do pray for them and for all those who have placed their trust in a religious system for salvation! They will argue, debate, twist scripture and disagree but at the end of the day it is obvious, the Catholic Church is NOT in sync with the TRUE Word of God. They have gone astray!...and yes, when you put all the pieces together, it is obvious, we are in fact, living in the end times!
