THE ERSTWHILE PDP CHAIRMAN. The erstwhile adjective can now apt - TopicsExpress

THE ERSTWHILE PDP CHAIRMAN. The erstwhile adjective can now apt in for the so called most dogged PDP chairman. But here are my views about this octogenerian with so much love for power and behaving the i am in control. Even long before now, i wrote at some point that the resignation of Bamanga Tukur cant solve the many problems of PDP,infact Goodluck as a president. Tukur came in amidst lots of controversies, yet for reasons best known to President Ebele he insisted on making him the chairman. I remembered Governor Murtala Nyako responding to Journalists few moment after Mr President meeting with them as of the time of Tukur endorsement at the presidential Villa, Gov. Nyako said and i quote well... Mr President endorsed whom he deemed important to him, after all its his constituency thats why i will not go against it. But Mr President would know that we all have our constituencies. And i will exercise my own power when i am in my state.. It did not take longer than what many political analyst expect that the bruhaha set in, shortly after the selection/endorsement cum election that made Tukur the PDP chairman. The thieving PDP started mourning... Now, back to why i dont see Tukur resignation as a relief to Goodluck Jonathan. It was gathered at some point that Gov. Akpabio have his secret reasons as why Tukur must resign while to others Tukur recalcitrant behaviors is what irked them. Tukur did confirmed to this many times that his resignation would expose Goodluck to more attacks. Tukur claim to have a stronger interest of Mr President than any member of the PDP NEC, sometimes his assertion seems true, but one will pose to ask, who created the many problems from the first place? Yes! You can claim to be fighting Mr President interest at the moment, but has it occurred to you that many defectors from PDP to APC attached to their reasons your stubborn and arrogant head attitude?? Alright, lets agree to others who see his resignation as a panacea to PDP. But before we concur to that completely, why not ask Gov. Akpabio that his secret plan and the clandestine agenda, is his sudden transformation into a renowned father Christmas all about philanthropism? Whose agenda is he pursuing with such vigor? To us in the opposition, whichever way we are firmly rooted. Whether Tukur should go or stay, we are already in charge. We have counted too many blessings and still counting. APC is setting the pace come 22nd March 2014., for its National Convention. We wouldnt want PDP to crumble completely, because we would need them as opposition party come 2015, hence we need to encourage them to stay on though bed ridden until a smooth handing over to the progressive President come 29th May 2015. ~Genshak Golak genshakgolak@yahoo
