THE FATHER’S LAP When I was a child in Sunday school, I was - TopicsExpress

THE FATHER’S LAP When I was a child in Sunday school, I was thought a nice song and pictures of Jesus’s heart for Children. The Song was: Jesus loves the little children, children of the world. Jesus died for the little Children, children like you and me.Oh how I loved to sing that song. That made me aware that I am part of the reason when He walked the earth. One of my favourite stories was in Mark 10: 13-16 the people brought children to Jesus, hoping he might touch them. The disciples shooed them off. But Jesus was irate and let them know it: “Dont push these children away. Dont ever get between them and me. These children are at the very centre of life in the kingdom. Mark this: Unless you accept God’s kingdom in the simplicity of a child, youll never get in.” Then, gathering the children up in his arms, he laid his hands of blessing on them. I was taught a lesson that made me loved Jesus. That the father has a special interest in his heart towards Children and His Children. In the Story Jesus rebuked the disciples of being a hindrance to the children who desire to be where they were born to be. Whosoever, or Whatsoever desire to come between you and Jesus, becomes The fathers enemy. And Jesus will fight that. A secret was revealed that, (a)whosoever does not accept the teachings of our Lord in a simple way of Children’s lifestyle cannot make heaven. (b)Whosoever does not embrace the word of God with the heart and the altitude of children cannot make heaven (C)Whosoever does not come to him like his child, willing to receive from the fathers heart of love, is not worthy for His Kingdom. (d)Whosoever does not handle His commandment like the way, a parent loves his child above all, and willing to die, to risk his or her life for that Child, cannot make heaven. Apostle Paul in 1Corinthians 13;5-7(message bible) reveals the hearts of children. And also the nature of God’s unpolluted Kind of love towards His children. Love never gives up.Love cares more for others than for self. Love doesn’t want what it doesn’t have.Love doesnt strut,Doesnt have a swelled head, Doesnt force itself on others,Isnt always “me first,”Doesnt fly off the handle, Doesnt keep score of the sins of others,Doesnt revel when others grovel, Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth,Puts up with anything,Trusts God always, Always looks for the best,Never looks back,But keeps going to the end. Children as at this time have not been integral part of Jewish worship. Until that day when Jesus elevated them to the position of honour and showed the world that, if all of you is like these children wouldn’t have come to this world. The scene baffles with excitement. Eager parents, Kids in tow, jostling through the crowed .Mothers prodding their timid Children, then pushing them to go and receive Jesus blessings of approval. Jesus waved on the Children to come to Him, after He had silence the disciples. The Children came running towards Jesus, ooh what a scene!!!!They climb on His lap, sat at his feet, stood by his side, He gathered them in His arm and tousles their hair, smiles at them. Some put their head on his bosom, as the Lord asks them their names. Oh the secret of the father’s heart has been revealed towards His children. On his lap, on the fathers lap in His bosom, they felt honoured. On his lap they felt loved. In His smile, they felt delighted. In His hands they felt blessed. In his eyes the felt loved. There on the fathers lap with Children squirmy brood of Children-so young, so innocent ,so trusting. Jesus the loving father, saviour and friend, showed us a picture of the kingdom of God with its King on His throne. He places the least of these in the position of most honour, gathering them to His bosom and blessing them. Jesus knew exactly how they felt, and He fought back a nostalgic tear for the bosom of His Father that He had left so many years ago when He climbed down from that lap so we could climb up onto His. Can you see yourself in your fathers lap today? Are you willing to Climb up and sit where nobody was qualified except the children of His kingdom? The cross was what changed that father’s heart towards your sin. It is also what broke His heart for you and me. Yes there is still room at the cross for you, though millions had been there, but your place is still there for you. Come no one can occupy the void of your absence. Pray this after me if you want to be on your fathers lap. Lord Jesus,I believe you are the son of God.I believe you die for my sins. Please forgive me of all my sin, that caused you grieve on the cross.I accept you into my life today.Come into my heart.Be my Lord and Saviour.Baptized me with your Holy Spirit.Baptize me with your love.Grant me your heart to live for you.thank you for your acceptance. In Jesus name .AMEN
