THE FINGERPRINTS OF GOD IN ISAIAH (PART 2A) The Book of Isaiah - TopicsExpress

THE FINGERPRINTS OF GOD IN ISAIAH (PART 2A) The Book of Isaiah offers a unique proof of divine inspiration. There are 66 chapters in Isaiah, and there are 66 books in the Bible. And within each chapter of Isaiah, you can find something in the chapter that will remind you of the corresponding book of the Bible. Isaiah 50:5-8 is a clear prediction of Calvary. Speaking prophetically, our Lord proclaims He was “not rebellious” about going to the cross. This passage in Isaiah 50 reminds us of the 50th book of the Bible, where Paul says that our Lord was “obedient unto death, even the death of the cross” (Phil. 2:8). The 51st chapter of Isaiah says “put on strength” (v.9), while the Bible’s 51st book also says to “put on” some things (Col. 3:12, 14). Also, Isaiah 51:3 and 11 sound a lot like Colossians 3:16. The Bible’s 52nd book speaks of “comfort” (I Thes. 4:18; 5:11), and the Rapture (4:13-18). Isaiah 52:9 speaks of comfort, and Verse 12 reminds you of the rapture! Isaiah 52:11 is a dead ringer for I Thes. 4:4-7, and Isaiah 52:7 is acted out in I Thes. 1:8. Isaiah 53 is all about our Lord’s suffering, so its not surprising to find the Bible’s 53rd book is all about how the suffering of the Thessalonians (II Thes. 1:5) is not a result of the Great Tribulation, for the Rapture must come first (2:1-8). Isaiah 54 talks about how Israel made herself a widow at Calvary (v.4, 5), and the Bible’s 54th book is also greatly concerned with widows (I Tim. 5:3-11). Isaiah 55:10,11 contains a famous statement concerning God’s Word, as does the Bible’s 55th book (II Tim. 3:16, 17). In the Bible’s 56th book, Paul warns Titus about apostate spiritual leaders who are just in the ministry for the money and drink (Titus 1:7-12). Isaiah’s 56th chapter warns about the same thing (56:10-12). TO BE CONTINUED Source: Church Bulletin Faith Bible Church in Steger (IL)- dated Feb. 2, 1997
