THE GROANS OF THE CREATION For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now. Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body.(Romans 8:22) Yes when our body aches,we are experiencing the groans of a creation with a curse hanging over it,but I believe we have a yearning that is far beyond the temporary relief of body pain. He says WE ALSO who have the firstfruits of the Spirit,even WE OURSELVES groan We that have the Spirit.We are like new wine in old bottles,fermenting and about to burst.A new creation held down by a body that is still subject to the old creation. We have a Guarantee living in us that keeps assuring us There is something else,this isnt it. The hope the world system offers. Possessions,position,power,prestige,pride,passion. Like saltwater in the desert, they dont quench!They dont satisfy this longing in us.The longing to be with our Savior when He changes our vile body that it might be fashioned like unto His Glorious Body. For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.(Philippians 3:20-21) Dropping this nature that tries to keep us beat down and subject to this old creation that is cursed.Yes a Guarantee Until the redemption of the purchased possession. In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.(Ephesians 1:13-14) Yes we are His purchased possession.I love those two words.Bought and paid for and just waiting for the day well be with Him.The Holy Spirit in us,the guarantee of our inheritance.All to the praise of His glory. Come Lord Jesus Perhaps Today.
