THE LORDS DIVINE ORDER FOR SINGLE PARENTS:- Having presenting Single Parenting Workshops for over 20yrs, started from St Lukes Salt River and St Johns Crawford Anglican Churches and moved out to some URCSA and PPC Churches in the Western Cape. Ive been born to a single Mom, who later got married, to my Dad, im so proud of them. Giving some synoptic pointers as inspiration, of my research and scripture expository as a guide. SINGLE PARENT FAMILY BACKGROUND 1- Most single parents, comes from Divorce, Death, or Separation. 2.- The highest is Divorce, rather sad. 3- Most single parents are woman. 4- Born out of Wedlock is another. POSITIVE OUTCOMES 1- They very independent. 2- Very responsible taking ownership. NEGATIVE OUTCOMES 1- Future Marriagel problems. 2.- Poor low esteem. 3.Youth Criminal activities. FAMILIES EFFECTIVE SUPPORT 1- Encourage the children. 2- Great Family friendship. 3- Solving issues. 4- Family Support and more Support. DONT BE CAUGHT IN A GUILT TRAP 1- Remove guilt feelings of the past. 2- We going to fail. 3- When we confess our sins 1 John 1:9. STOP PUNISHING YOURSELF 1- Christ took the punishment for you. 2- You are FREE. Believe it. 3- Dont let them keep you in a guilt trap. OVERCOME ANGER AND BITTERNESS 1- Persistent feeling of Resentment, Hostility will be devastating on your personality. 2- This will spill over and effect your child or children. FORGET THE PAST CONCENTRATE ON THE PRESENT AND FUTURE. 1- Thank God daily for Him being your Father. 2- You have been forgiven. 3- Start embracing a new LIFE. 3- Become active in your local church. STAND UP AND BE COUNTED 1- Take back what is due to you. 2- Dont expect others to owe you a living. 3- Take OWNERSHIP of your predicament. Hearts of the parents, Corrective Discipline, Gods Order for Family Living, Divine appointment places people in families, Living and Caring for your Children Honors God. Parent responsible to raise their Children, The Role Of the Church in being AWARE of the presence and problems. Start a Single Parent Group. Christ Mandates Social Concern, Mat 25:42-45.
