THE PERILS OF RETIREMENT...YOU STAND WARNED SACHIN BABA... ------------------------------- Our Godhead, Shri Sachin, is unaware because of his innocence and inexperience about what lies ahead of him, after this honeymoon like trance he is currently in, disappears and the media moves on to other items that drive up trps...NOT THE THRILL OF HIS PREPARING HIS FIRST CUP OF TEA BY HIMSELF... His wife has been unquestioned Queen of all she surveys in a home she crafted for herself and her family. No married woman is ever in doubt of who is in charge and who the supplicant is. No woman brooks interference from anyone; Mum-in-Law and hubby inclusive. There is no field or third umpires here to appeal to; just an Empress who does things her way and will brook no interference; not at all. I do not find any married man disagreeing. Women whose husbands work (Cricket and the Armed Forces are included; lots more too) are used to having the man out on work and out of their way when the house is being put to order every day. They are not used to advise, interference or questioning...Queens are like that... Maybe one of the Thomsons, preferable Sunil Ji and Marshneil, his better half, should call on Shri Sachin soonest and politely advise him about where he does have space to do what he likes...His trophy room, his study and his loo,,,Thats about it. The remaining is the domain of the Empress and where he is just a supplicant; no more; no less. We all hope he is a good learner...Watch, comply, offer no advise unless asked, do not interfere, just keep out of the way of the Empress is the way ahead, pal. Ask me. Learnt the hard way but learnt all right. Now in my 8th year since retirement and still alive though disheveled...!
