AKM MUJIBUR RAHMAN AN INTELLECTUAL & A NOTED BANKER OF INDO-PAK- SUB-CONTINENT & BELOVED FATHER OF ABDULLAH AL-MAHMUD JAHANGIR Mr.AKM Mujibur Rahman (late) A noted Banker of National & Grindlays Bank Ltd (A BRITISH BANK), of erstwhile( Pakistan), He was a philanthropist,an Intellectual, Scholar and an Oxonian, a lingua franca, i.e he was at home in English, Bengali, Urdu, Arabic, German, French, Italian & a lot and he was considered as an icon of English Literature, a sportsman,specially a renowned footballer. Later on a distinguished and a sophisticated business tycoon and a leading Jute Merchant of Bangladesh.Jute Balers & Exporters, and he was the Founder, Chairman & Managing Director, of M/S M.Rahman (Jute) ltd.based at Narayanganj, once named after Dandy (London), of Bangladesh. Founding Director of m/s Narayanganj Jute Exporters and Director, of M/s Nobiganj Jute Balers & Exporters. Mr.AKM Mujibur Rahman has got lot of credits in his favor.The legendary 22,Families of erstwhile Pakistan,such as Mr. MM.Ispahani, Mr. Yusuf Abdullah Haroon another business tycoon of the then Pakistan and the owner and Chairman of Mutual Insurance Company of Pakistan, which was based at the then(Jinnah Avenue )at present Bangabandhu Avenue, Gulistan, Dacca,former East Pakistan, was also a good friend of my late revered Father Mr.AKM Mujibur Rahman, Mr. Hanif Adamjee of Adamjee Jute Mills ltd, the largest Jute Mill of South Asia Region, ( N.B. Mrs. Hanif Adamjee the spouse of Mr. Adamjee was a good friend of my Late, beloved Mother Poet & philanthropist, a renowned social worker Mrs. Khaleda Rahman Ratna Chowdhury. Latif Bawani, Mr. Sikander of Sikander Industries and others were the clients of,the then National & Grindlays Bank ltd. (A British Bank),and the Indian (Maroaris), Tolaram Basras, Suba Chand, Gajraj Panna Lal,Mr. R.P.Shaha of Kumudinee Welfare Trust of Bengal at Narayanganj, in erstwhile PAKISTAN were the clients of my father and a few Bengalis. And big stalwarts and BUSINESS TYCOONS of the INDO-PAK SUB-CONTINENT, used to consider my beloved Father as their MENTOR and a great friend in need.So to say Mr. AKM MUJIBUR RAHMAN was a legendary Banker. My beloved Father Mr.AKM Mujibur Rahman, used to help a lot to his clients as a good and a reputed Banker irrespective of any discrimination.
