THE POST BAG: THE POST SMS Fri 18 July 2014 Editor, May I advise Nkana Football Club management to give Zeddy Saileti a chance to defend the league title. Replacing him now will cause confusion among the players. We should not forget how far we have come with him. Concerned Editor, Allow me to give credit where it is due.Congratulations ZNBC for faithfully airing the just-ended FIFA World Cup won by Germany. You were consistent and equal to the challenge. It is a fact that most Zambians cannot afford to pay the exorbitant subscription fees demanded by private TV stations. Bravo MTN and other companies for sponsoring the broadcasting of the event. John Thabo, Lusaka Editor, Despite the concern on illegal maize exports to DRC, the commodity is still being smuggled to that country through Kipushi border. A few weeks ago, a Mr Kakoma of Solwezi raised the same concern through the media. However, we have seen no effort by state security agencies to curb the illegal trade. Actually, a number of them are shamelessly involved in the scourge. The relevant authorities should intervene. Concerned Editor, Most borders of our country are very porous. Thats why all sorts of illegal businesses are at play. For instance, the smuggling of timber to some named neighbouring countries is heartbreaking. There is something the government is not doing right. We hear of Interpol all the time. Are they only specialised in intercepting stolen cars across our borders? Something is seriously wrong. GS, Lusaka Editor, I am concerned with Zesco managment here in Choma. For several weeks now, there has been unexplained load-shedding. We cant enjoy using electricity like other citizens anymore. We dont know if access to electric power is a right or a privilege. BK, Choma Editor, Its a pity that some motorists are frustrating rehabilitation works on Kafue Road by being uncooperative. Lets exercise patience as the works are temporary and for the good of us all. P Malama, Lusaka
