THE REAL GOSPEL VERSUS WHAT IS BEING PREACHED BY MEGA PREACHERS: Men like Joseph Prince , T.D. Jakes and Joel Osteen conveniently leave out repentance from their preaching. Robert Schuller said it might "offend" someone. The REAL gospel ALWAYS includes repentance. Any gospel which does not is another gospel and is not the gospel which the apostles preached. The Apostle Paul said that not only is that "gospel" damned (anathema), but so are the ones who preach it. Gal 1:8-9 What Gospel did Jesus preach? " I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."Luke 5:32..........."I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." Luke 13:3 What Gospel did the apostles preach? "And they went out, and preached that men should repent." Mark 6:12............."And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent." Acts 17:30 What Gospel did Paul preach? "And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publicly, and from house to house, Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ." Acts 20:21-21 When Jesus appeared to John on Patmos, He said, ""As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and REPENT." Rev 3:19 Those who teach that after we have received Christ we no longer need to repent have ignored the words of the Lord to the Churches in Revelation. To the Church at Ephesus He said, "Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast LEFT THY FIRST LOVE. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and REPENT, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent." Rev 2:4. To the Church at Pergamos He said, " REPENT; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth." Re. 2:16 If the men you are listening to are not preaching a gospel of repentance, flee, for they are teaching a false gospel and doctrines of demons. (Aletha Swanson)
