THE RECURRENT YORUBA CURSE by Prince Justice Surrounded by annihilating Islamists, the last Alaafin of the ancient OYO ILE kingdom brought out 4 arrows, laced with curses of eternal slavery for the betrayal and disunity of his people. One he shot towards Ilorin in the North, where Afonja had betrayed and lost the empire to Islamist Fulanis: One towards the South where the Egbas and others had used European arms to split up the kingdom: One towards the West, the land of the Dahomeys and Eguns. The last one he shot into the air to strike him dead on his feet! The largest Original African group like many others due to sectional leaders that had no understanding of geopolitics, sacrificed the Yoruba sphere on the altar of personal ambition. The greatest number of Yoruba slaves were to be carted away to the Americas as anarchy ruled Yorubaland like present day Somalia for 50years. Only the arrival of the colonialists stopped the Yoruba Wars in the south while Ilorin remained under Islamists. The Yorubas had failed to realize that they were the largest Original African group and use the cultural identity to foster unity against the afro-Asian Islamists and Europeans. Therefore the Original African became the global slave: the lowest in the human race. This continued failure to identify and unite all Africans through informed strategic alliances by the Yoruba and even the Igbo, the second largest Original African group has led to the poor showing of the global African. Now again, in 2015, Yoruba leadership through wrong alliances will make Yorubas lose their coveted position of being the most prosperous group in Black Africa. While the North will vote en mass for their Islamist leader, the South East and Niger Delta will vote for Jonathan. The Yoruba will be misinformed on the pretext of an anti-corruption platform to vote for a man, Buhari, whose last position was to head crude oil proceeds in the most corrupt regime of Abacha. Before then, he had overthrown democracy under the pretext of anti-corruption, only to install the most corrupt system of import licensing and Arrangee deals. Like the aftermath of Afonjas deal with Alimi, the Islamists will lay Yorubaland to waste. Buhari will stop the much-awaited 26 new railway stations in the South, as well as many other infrastructure being implemented. The Islamist just like their Abrahamic European cousins cannot allow the heartland of the black race in the South to leave them behind or compete on the global stage. Buhari stopped such monumental projects the first time around and will do so again as Islamists dream of dipping the Koran on our coasts, and take the Europeans most valuable territory. Lets hope Goodluck shoots no more arrows after all he has done to uplift the South but was betrayed by the Yorubas, who will decide the next President!
