THE ROLLING STONES “If You Need Me” (from the EP Five by Five, 1964) If You Need Me is a 1963 song written and originally recorded by Wilson Pickett and was made into a hit by Solomon Burke, who sent the song to #2 on the R&B charts that year. The song has been covered by The Rolling Stones on their second EP Five by Five, later on second US album 12 x 5, both in 1964.
