THE SEVENTH-DAY SABBATH WAS TO BE A SIGN BETWEEN GOD AND HIS PEOPLE FOREVER. THAT HE HAS THE POWER TO MAKE THEM HOLY.THE TEACHINGS OF BISHOP DAVID HILL/THE LORD ELIJAH.PLEASE LISTEN TO OUR GOSPEL ON YOUTUBE.@ youtu.be/emEHhn_TEsk -- The keys to understanding is listening to the message below. Exodus 31:13-16. Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my Sabbath ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations: that ye may know that I am the Lord that doth sanctify you. Ye shall keep the Sabbath therefore, for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surly be put to death: for whosoever doeth and work therein, that soul shall be cut off from his people. Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the Sabbath of rest, holy to the Lord: whosoever doeth any work in the Sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death. Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant. Perpetual means: Continuing forever. (Webster’s) Covenant means: A binding agreement or contract; promise. (Webster’s) Exodus 31:17 It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the Lord made heaven and the earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed. ISRAEL TURNED THEIR BACK ON GOD AND IN HIS LOVE HE REMINDS THEM. Isaiah 58:13,14 If thou turn thy foot from the Sabbath, from dong thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the Sabbath a delight, the holy of the Lord, honorable; and shalt honor him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words: then shalt thou delight thyself in the Lord; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it. THE LAW OF MOSES, THE LAW OF ORDINANCES, CEREMONIAL LAW…. Written by Moses (2 Chronicles). In a book (2 Chronicles 35:12), place outside the ark (Deuteronomy 31:24-26), called laws of ordinances (Exodus 18:20). Nailed to the cross Colossians 2:14 and abolished by Christ. Ephesians 2:15. The ceremonial laws pointed forward to the Lamb of God that would take away the sin of the world (John 1:29). If the law could have been changed, then Christ would not have had to die (Romans 5:8). OUR SAVIOR KEPT THE SEVENTH-DAY SABBATH. Mark 2:27,28 And he said unto them, the Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath; therefore the son of man is Lord also of the Sabbath. Mark 1:21 And they went into Capernaum; and straightway on the Sabbath day he entered into the synagogue, and taught. Luke 4:16 And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up; and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up for a read. Custom means: A common practice or habit. Luke 4:31 And came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and taught them on the Sabbath days. PAUL KEPT THE SEVENTH- DAY SABBATH AFTER CRUCIFIXION Acts 13:14-17 But when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and sat down. And after the reading of the law and the prophets the rulers of the synagogue sent unto them, saying, Ye men and brethren, if ye have any word of exhortation for the people, say on. Then Paul stood up, and beckoning with his hand said, Men of Israel, and ye that fear God, give audience. The God of this people of Israel chose our fathers, and exalted the people when they dwelt as strangers in the land of Egypt, and with an high arm brought he them out of it.
