THE SHOELESS SHAMELESS TYRANT Although, a product of circumstance, one of the factors that facilitated his sales to the public in 2011 was his shoeless speech. His speech attracted sympathy from all crosses of the world and it seemed Nigerian had finally found a messiah. The oxygen of hope was breath by majority, little did they know they were inhaling more of carbon monoxide than the oxygen they were presented. Then, the much awaited time came in 2011, when the shoeless man had to be given shoes even at the expense of other million shoeless nigerians. Yes, they called it a sacrifice that must be made for the betterment of their future! While some voted base on sympathy, others voted base on tribal, regional or religious sentiment as against the background of credibility, transparency, capability and accountability. Yes, a lot of nigerians fell into this group! The election came and gone, promises made were expected to be fulfilled, and the fresh air from and of GoodLuck expected to start circulating. Verily, the air came at an appointed time. January 1st, 2012 came. On the eve of that new year, many speculation made wave across the nooks and crannies of the country, from north to south, east to west, that we were to start paying higher to fuel our cars and I pass my neighbours and other heavy industrial generators. This rumour was immediately discarded by majority of us, especially those of us in the villages. Soon shall we realise that we were dreaming as the monster came up to distribute his new year gift of agony and hardship to nigerians on the 1st of Jan 2012, the much awaited fresh air. This announcement was welcomed with shock, dismay, protests and killing and maiming of innocent armless protesters by GEJs armed security operatives. Soon after that, came another surprising gift, the independence day abuja bombing by Henry okah of Mend. The monster president openly told nigerians, defending his armed terror group of mend, that he knew them very well and that they were not responsible for the attack. But soon, the truth came out as the Okahs denied the defensive and sentimental speech of the president. This led to the subsequent arrest of the Okahs by nigerian and south african authorities. Whatever transpired, no matter what, did not hinder the revelation of the true identity of the president as a regional president, a tyrant nd a monster. At least, the revelation by Okah had vindicated those accused by the presidency. Soon after that came seamingly endless spate of ruthless killings and maiming of armless and hapless innocent nigerians by Boko Haram. This has continued up till date unabated. The first speech of the monster president was that Nigerians must learn to live with it, then that Nigerian security agents were ontop of the situation. Till date, despite the huge amount of money budgeted for security, nigerians continue to cry with help from no where, and all the monster president could say of late was that he could withdraw soldiers from one of the states to see if the governor would be able to remain in the state government house! Not surprising to progressive minded individuals like us, because to us, the monster was only revealing himself more clearly to the public. The spate of corruption in nigeria has also increased at a geometrical progression rate under his watch. For the first time in history, the EFCC became broke, corrupt and indicted leaders like the Alamesiagha were granted state pardon, the fuel subsidy scam came with no tangible prosecution, the police pension scam, and of late, the NNPC scam revealed by the CBN governor. Rather than appraising the GCBN, he was been molested and intimidated for daring to step on big toes to reveal the scam. To the progressives, Sanusi remains a hero no matter how bad the presidency paints him. I may go on to mention the endless evils of GEJ but for time and space. The fact remains that GEJ is not the messiah we all awaited, he is a monster and a tyrant dictator, a government worse than the military dictatorship era! He definitely means no well for the Nigerian entity. The progressive youths have known this for long. Pdp has failed us, GEJ has failed us and it is time for change. APC remains the only hope for Nigeria at this very critical moment where nigeria is drifting closer to anarchy! The safety of nigeria is not for only progressives, but the entire nigerians regardless of tribe, region or religion. Collective Struggle is Sine Qua Non to Total Liberation.
