THE SNOW IS COMING – By Graham Robinson (From his book).. Observations On Life Day 1. - The snow is coming, - The snow is coming. Let’s get the gritting lorries out on the streets – Go and buy thigh high Wellington boots to protect our legs and feet – The snow is coming, - The snow is coming. Day 2. - The snow is coming,- The snow is coming. Let’s all buy buckets of salted sand, to put on our pathways and driveways – Go and buy a new 4 x 4 car, you know – one that doesn’t slip and slide sideways – The snow is coming, - The snow is coming. Day 3. - The snow is coming, - The snow is coming. Let’s all go to Sainsbury’s and buy 20 loaves of bread in case we get snowed in – Go and buy candles, spades with long handles and foodstuffs contained in a tin – The snow is coming,- The snow is coming. Day 4. - The snow is coming, - The snow is coming. Let’s get down to B & Q and spend hundreds of pounds – re-insulating our roof – Go and download the weather reports – send e-mails to everybody and Auntie Ruth – The snow is coming, - The snow is coming. Day 5. - The snow is coming, - The snow is coming. Let’s be as prepared as we can – down to the last man – for fuel, get a spare can…huh What’s that ? - the snow isn’t coming to England – and it’s on it’s way to Iceland – Well who said that ? Oh! It was on TV was it ? – The BBC Weatherman… So the snow isn’t coming now then ? – Well, what are we going to do with all the stuff we’ve bought then ?
