THE THIRD STRAY OF CHRISTMAS Nadia is a gorgeous girl who is yet another throw away from a trainer, unwanted and surplus to requirements. She is a beautiful girl who is 9 years young and 26 to the shoulder and is a VERY UNUSUAL colour for a greyhound which is described as a Dune Brindle. She came to us in a poorly state with a terrible tooth breakage which had been left untreated and got badly infected and she was very thin, shut down and clearly giving up on the life she has only ever known. Location: Living with a foster family in Norfolk. Key Points: Confident, loving, happy, Putting on weight and condition nicely now, affectionate, calm, sweet and clever. Great on the lead and in the car, confident and happy with other greyhounds. Clean in the home so far. ~ Personality ~ Nadia is a lovely and affectionate girl who is sociable with both people and other dogs. She has had a dreary life up until now but is putting on weight and loving being in a kind foster home with good food, cuddles and other greyhounds. She is lovely and calm and will happily let you touch her food bowl when she is eating with no issues at all. Her personality is beginning to blossom and shine already so dont delay in applying for this special girl. ~ In the Home ~ Nadia is doing a great job of being clean in her new foster home and has settled in beautifully. She sleeps without issue during the night and is great with the other dogs. ~ Other Animals ~ Nadia has been brilliant with other dogs so far although she hasn’t met any small dogs to date. We can get her small dog tested if required. ~ Out and About ~ Nadia is well behaved on the lead and loves her walks! She will be content with two 30 minute walks a day and a chance to stretch her legs off lead a couple of times a week. With work on bonding and recall Nadia may be suitable to be let offlead in safe areas away from public roads and livestock. ~ Greyhounds as Pets ~ In general greyhounds are calm, mannerly dogs that are well used to being handled. They can fit very well in to a wide range of different lifestyles and usually adjust to the home life very quickly. Their soft, easy going nature often makes them ideal to live in a family environment, while their love of lazing around and low exercise requirements can make them perfect for the retired. Greyhounds also don’t shed as much as other more popular dog breeds and this can make them suitable to live with allergy sufferers. ~ Where Can I Live? ~ We feel Nadia would suit most homes as she is a confident girl and settles in to new routines quickly. She LOVES other dogs so ideally her forever family will have at least one other gentle hound for company. Please also be aware that we do not re-home dogs to families with children under 8 years of age. ~ Where Am I? ~ Nadia is currently living with a foster family in Norfolk. She can be homed anywhere in the UK provided we have a homechecker available, but please note that you will be required to travel to Norfolk to meet and collect her. ~ Want To Adopt Me? ~ Nadia is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, deflead and wormed and a homecheck will be required as part of the adoption procedure.
